Smile, like you've got nothing to prove

Hi hi,

I chose my title as I usually do, in a semi random way. For instance, this title seems happy, then gets somewhat less happy. However, I actually just typed smile in as the title (because I've been smiling a lot ) and then was reminded of a Ben Folds song which I decided to quote. Speaking of Ben Folds, he's coming to Duke on the last day of class for a big Concert. Other bands include gym class heroes, and girltalk (less exciting, i know). Turns out last of class is not my actual last day of classes this year. Instead I have class the day after and have to give a presentation at 10 in the morning about the biomechanics of concussions. Yipee.

so Luke, you're thinking, why was it that you were smiling alot? How bout I tell you reasons i should have a much more concerned look about me. Well, theres the fact I have a problem set for Statistics due thurs I havent started and dont know how do because i'm generally lost in that class. There's the whole Independent study crazyness where my Prof. realized he needed more data and I would have to do something entirely different and do alot of stuff for it. Theres the bit where I have a presentation to start, Oh and of course the 8-10page paper due tomorrow about what we as historians can know about Jesus of Nazareth. Answer: not all that much. Now all I have to do is expand those 4 words into 3000, calls to mind a certain parable, no?

Oh right, the smiling. I asked a friend to this dance and. she. said. yes! Yay! I don't think I've asked anyone to anything, besides lunch, for like 3 years ( at least when I've actually felt emotionally invested in the answer ). In any case though, theres only like 4 weeks left at Duke, which may be too little time for anything to develop (if the potential is even there, of course). Sad, but its okay because, truth be told, I don't know her super well and I'll be glad just to be able to just get to know her better.
